Self-operated fiber optic cable mounting systems provide secure, versatile, and low-maintenance solutions for aerial and pole-mounted installations.

Pole-Mounted Brackets

The Universal Pole Bracket (UPB) is a lightweight, high-strength option for mounting fiber optic cables, including ADSS and figure-eight cables, on wooden, metal, or concrete poles. Its universal design fits multiple pole types, reducing inventory needs and installation complexity. The UPB is made from aluminum alloy, offering high mechanical strength while remaining lightweight. Installation is simplified using stainless steel banding straps or a single bolt for wooden poles, making it cost-effective and durable for long-term use .

Aerial Self-Supporting Systems

For aerial deployments, FlexNAP™ System RPX dielectric cables are designed for self-supporting installation. These systems reduce manual handling by allowing cables to be deployed with minimal personnel. Automated figure-eight machines can be used to manage cable tension and prevent kinking during installation. Proper handling ensures optical continuity and reduces the risk of damage to fibers .

Slack Storage Solutions

Pole-mount slack storage systems, such as the H-frame, provide a durable, all-metal structure for storing excess fiber optic cable. These frames can hold up to 250 feet of 144-count fiber and are mounted on poles using stainless steel straps or lag bolts. The 12-gauge powder-coated steel construction ensures long-term durability, and multiple keyholes and slotted cable keepers allow flexible cable management . Similarly, Opti-Loop storage systems offer versatile mounting options for aerial or pole installations, protecting fiber slack and enabling future use without damage .

Self-Supported Racks

For indoor or controlled environments, Flexi Rack systems provide self-supported, lightweight aluminum racks for fiber termination and management. These racks can be wall- or floor-mounted and allow flexible height adjustment. Integrated cable organizers simplify routing and storage of patch cords, and the flat-packed design enables single-person installation .

Key Advantages

  • Versatility: Compatible with multiple pole types and cable configurations.
  • Durability: High-strength materials withstand environmental stress.
  • Ease of Installation: Lightweight designs and self-supporting features reduce labor requirements.
  • Cable Protection: Systems prevent kinking, twisting, and damage to fibers.
  • Cost-Effectiveness: Reduces the need for multiple bracket types and minimizes replacement needs. These systems are ideal for aerial fiber optic networks, FTTH deployments, and slack management, providing a self-operated solution that ensures secure, efficient, and long-lasting cable installations.
