Chile and Google have partnered to install the first submarine fiber optic cable connecting South America, Asia, and Oceania by 2027. The $400M project, partially funded by Chile's government, aims to boost Chile's role as a digital hub and strengthen. The "Humboldt Project" will connect Chile to Australia with a 14,800-kilometer cable and improve connectivity.
