Connector Color Standards

  • Single-mode fibers:
    • UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) connectors are blue.
    • APC (Angled Physical Contact) connectors are green, with an 8-degree angled end face to reduce back reflection .
  • Multimode fibers:
    • OM1: Beige or grey
    • OM2: Black
    • OM3: Aqua
    • OM4: Violet
